The Botanical Supper Club

This October we will be welcoming Stranger & Sons, one of the first gins to be distilled in India since the 1940s, to Jamavar, to bring their ‘wonderfully strange’ botanicals to London for a series of intimate gin dinners in our private dining room.





Taking the form of interactive masterclasses led by Stranger & Sons, guests will overlook our very own botanical garden with an array of rosemary, thyme, mint and chilli that can be used to infuse the drinks. A selection of gin cocktails created especially by Stranger & Sons will each be paired with five courses from Executive Chef Surender Mohan.

The dinner will begin with a Warm Barley and Corn Salad with sweet peppers, golden beetroot and broccoli, paired with a delicately balanced Stranger Gibson, made with Stranger & Sons, vermouth and pickled apricot. Dishes including Tellicherry Pepper & Garlic Soft Shell Crab with plum chutney, garlic chips and homemade garlic pickle and Adraki Lamb Chops with royal cumin, fennel, ginger and carrot salad will be matched with a Tamala, with gin, caramelized carrot and coriander, and The Parsley Bloom, made with gin, plum and parsley, respectively. To end on a sweet note, dessert will be served, a Nougat Chocolate Mousse with cinnamon ice cream, alongside a cocktail of choice, before guests return home with Stranger & Sons goodie bags in hand.

Jamavar’s Botanical Supper Club series will take place on Mondays 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th October, at 6.30pm and will cost £75 per person.

The Royal Brunch, featuring an indulgent feast of some of our favourite regal dishes. The Royal Brunch is inspired by the opulent, refined cooking of the seven princely states spanning from the north to the south of India: each region's palate is very different, and the royal kitchens would carefully guard their secret recipes.

Sunday Brunch in Mayfair

Guests at our Royal Brunch will be welcomed with a glass of Laurent Perrier La Cuvée champagne, before sitting down to an opulent, refined feast, beginning with small, flavourful dishes. The menu will begin with smaller dishes including the new Palak Patta Chaat, Lahsuni Fish Tikka and Gilafi Seekh Kebab. Executive Chef Surender Mohan has also added Nalli Gosht with Hampshire lamb, cashew nuts, black cardamom & saffron and a Prawn Melagu Curry, made with Wynard black pepper & creamy coconut. To finish, there will be a new assortment of fragrant Indian sweets, Chocolate Nougat Kulfi, Mango Rasmalai served with mango cream and berry chutney, and a Gajar Halwa with clotted cream, made with heritage carrots and cardamom served with vanilla cream.

We wanted to bring a decadent yet leisurely Sunday offering to Mayfair - as the English autumn draws in, there's no better way to warm up on a Sunday than with a spiced, aromatic feast.

For those preferring to visit in the evening, we will be staying open on Sunday nights for the first time, and you can take your pick from Jamavar's à la carte menu from 5:30pm onwards.

The Royal Brunch at Jamavar costs £55 per person, and is available between 12noon – 3pm on Sundays. A vegetarian Royal Brunch is also available.
