As with many restaurants around London, we have made the difficult decision to temporarily close our doors at JAMAVAR LONDON.

As always, it has been our top priority to give our guests the best dining experience that we possibly can, and at this time we must take into consideration the safety and wellness of every visitor. While this decision does not come lightly, we are committed to the well-being of not only our guests but also and most importantly our team.

Beginning the 20th of March service at JAMAVAR LONDON will be suspended until further information is available to us.

Jamavar's South Indian Seafood Banquet

Throughout March, we will be serving an indulgent six-course South Indian Seafood Banquet tasting menu, curated by Executive Chef Surender Mohan. Taking influence from the southern princely states of Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala, the menu will celebrate the region’s abundant coastlines and traditional seafood recipes.

The banquet will begin with hand-dived Scallops Moilee, served with coconut sauce, ginger relish & plantain crisps, followed by Devon-caught Crab Porthol, flavoured with coastal spices and with chilli mango and garlic coriander dip. Following courses include Prawns Chettinad, pink shrimps marinated in black pepper and chillies and served with a side of roasted coconut chips; Guntur Fish Tikka, Karavapillai Prawns, Seafood Mappas and Lobster Balchao accompanied by sun dried chilli, garlic and a toddy vinegar masala pao. For dessert, guests will be served Madam Leela’s Jackfruit Burnt Cream, an exotic blend of red rice, cinnamon & palm sugar, inspired by and named after the grandmother of Jamavar’s Founder, Samyukta Nair.

The South Indian Seafood Banquet tasting menu will be available from Sunday 1st March until Tuesday 31st March. Available to bookings and walk-ins for up to fourteen guests, the new menu will be available every day of the week, including Sundays. The menu will be priced at £85 with the choice of an accompanying wine flight for an additional £70. Please note all seafood dishes are also available on our A La Carte menu.
